Rob Bobsy Godwin, Director and Head of Operations of LoveHoney Group Australia

Rob is the Director and Head of Operations in Australia and is responsible for day-to-day commercial operations and performance.

Rob’s role at Lovehoney is diverse and encompasses creating, developing and implementing a multi-level business plan and strategy to ensure the successful operations of Lovehoney Australia, while accelerating its year-on-year growth. Rob manages a 65 strong team with seven departmental heads, covering customer service; warehousing and distribution; online trading; PR and marketing; finance; HR; and trade sales. Lovehoney is currently National Retail Association Innovation Champions 2020 & 2021, Australia Post Orias Hall of Fame inductee 2022, and Excellence in Retail Award from Retail Global 2021. Rob also came #3 in the Top 50 People in Ecommerce by Inside Retail.

Rob established Lovehoney Australia in Queensland in September 2013 from his spare room with one staff member. His career has been highly focused on implementing and overseeing strategies to drive revenue growth and raising the profile of the adult industry. After studying a Bachelor of Business Administration at Lancaster University, Rob moved into marketing and strategy and has worked his way up to CEO of Sexpo and Club X adult stores. He is an advisory to Australia Post, Getbumpn disability charity, Trademutt and Retail Global. He is there to support his team, encourages his team to take pride in their work, recognising and celebrating their successes, as well as striving to drive the business forward.

Outside of work Rob is a keen amateur boxer and marathon runner. Raised over $250k for charity, and father of two boys Jack & Levi. He loves yoga, and is a passionate Chelsea FC fan.
